Welcome.

I’m Randa, a Speech Language Pathologist who is passionate about the brain. I help people meet their goals by using evidence based methods that are known to make new connections in the brain; hence the name Connections Speech Therapy. I’m so glad you’re here.

Language is one of the defining features of humanity…when language breaks down…(this) can mean people are denied their human rights in the most fundamental of ways.

Communicate to connect.

Let’s make communication fun again!

Live your best life with the gift of communication.

Let’s make work feel like play.

Let’s make work feel like play.

Work

At work, clear, confident communication is key. We give and receive messages all day long at work. We communicate when listening to instructions, giving presentations, reading manuals or reports, and sending emails. At a minimum we chat over coffee breaks with colleagues! I work with adults returning to work, or looking to improve their work performance after neurological impairment such as brain injury, stroke, brain tumour, or Parkinson’s disease.

Let’s make school awesome.

Let’s make school awesome.

School.

School is for learning. Learning requires listening to understand, communicating ideas and questions verbally, reading, and writing. Learning how to understand and use social interaction skills with peers and authority figures are also a huge part of the school experience. I work with children and teens who have difficulty being understood on the playground, following instructions in class, and talking to peers. I also see those who are returning to school or college after a brain injury.

Let’s live the life you want.

Let’s live the life you want.

The rest of life.

From babies to grandparents, communication is what connects us. Whether it’s children playing together, a text, a heart to heart chat over the phone, a doctor appointment, or traveling, communication is vital in all areas of life.  For this reason, people with communication challenges often avoid social situations and activities. I work with children and teens who struggle to clearly communicate their thoughts with parents or friends, and adults who can’t order in a restaurant.

For you.

I understand that difficulty with communication affects life in a big way. I will be committed to you and your family, and will give 120% to provide the best speech language therapy for you that I can. We will work together to set goals that are driven by you and make an impact in your life.

I want to help you in the way that is most convenient to you. If that means teletherapy, I’m in. If that means home-based therapy, will do! If that means you would rather come to the office, can do.

I strive to keep my fees reasonable, provide evidence-based services that I know work, answer your questions, follow through on my promises, and make you feel like the valuable person that you are. I am an open-minded reflective person, who is always happy to have feedback and make changes to make things right for you.
